Interior and surface pattern design inspired by nature and healthy living.

Hello! I'm Erica, an interior and surface pattern designer living in Eagle River, Alaska. I love working with others on creative projects and am passionate about finding ways to live a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
MY STORY
Hi, I'm Erica—an interior and surface pattern designer living in Eagle River, Alaska, where snowy mountains, endless summer daylight, and the occasional moose sighting provide daily inspiration.
I've always been drawn to creative problem-solving, beautiful spaces, and the way thoughtful design can improve how we live every day. But my path to becoming a designer wasn't exactly traditional.
I initially graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Environmental Biology and spent the early part of my career teaching science, coaching athletics, and even worked for the Division of Interpretation at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park for a short time. As a military spouse, frequent moves took me to new places and unexpected opportunities, all of which helped shape how I approach design today.
Eventually, I decided to follow a lifelong passion for design and architecture. That decision led me from residential design projects in California to earning an Interior Design degree in London, where I had the opportunity to work on award-winning residential and commercial projects with talented designers from around the world.
Today, my work blends everything I love: interiors, surface pattern design, nature, and storytelling. I'm endlessly inspired by Alaska's landscapes—from mountain peaks and glacial textures to wildflowers, forests, and the ever-changing light. Those influences often find their way into my designs, whether I'm creating a welcoming interior or developing patterns that bring a little bit of the outdoors inside.
I also care deeply about healthy, sustainable living and believe good design should not only look beautiful but support the way we want to live. My favorite projects are collaborative ones, where ideas are shared, creativity flows, and something unique emerges from the process.
When I'm not designing, you'll likely find me exploring Alaska with my family, sketching new pattern ideas, or looking for small ways to live a little lighter on the planet.
I believe great design tells a story—and I'd love to help tell yours.
